"The request for a very high damage deposit amounting to 25% of the rent, which was released several weeks after our departure. Also, the hosts are constantly on a "business trip" and have devised a quite complicated "virtual concierge" system, which allows to communicate with them only in writing, through booking.com. The retrieval of the keys from a lock box a few streets from the apartment necessitates going through a gate with a second code. Also, the box code is constantly changed, and it was the morning of our arrival without letting us know. A real "treasure hunt", with the fear of not being able to enter the apartment, for which we were not prepared traveling from abroad!"

"The location is outstanding. I walked to and from the train station and didn't take one single Uber the whole time I was in Nice. For example, the Musée Chagall is a mile from the property, and the Promenade des Anglais and Vieux Nice are even closer. The apartment, once I found my way inside and figured out how everything worked, had everything I needed, including dishes, glasses, cups, pots and pans, even salt and pepper and a modern coffee maker with a coffee pod for each of my four-day stay. I was very comfortable there and would stay there again."

"You can't get into the apartment until 4:00 PM unless you pay an additional 20 euros, and if you're coming from a long train ride or an overnight flight, you're very tired by that time. What makes it harder is that you get the keys from one location and the apartment is a block in a half away. I didn't understand the instructions that said to open the gate and the doors to the common areas of the building with my "badge." Maybe someone younger or with more travel experience would have easily understood, but for future reference, you get a keyring holding a metal key and a yellow and gray oval charm. The oval charm (the "badge") is a magnetic key which you tap over a raised black circle on the bottom of a metal plaque near the door you want to open. That unlocks the door so you can go in. The metal key opens the door to your apartment. It would really be nice if the owners could arrange for someone to be available at the property should you need help getting in the first time. That would be my one suggestion for improvement."
